Urban Lines: Art of Popof

Urban Painting | Just minutes ago I stumbled upon the fantastic murals – or more general urban paintings – by Paris-based urban artist Popof.

Until now I’d never heard about the Moscow-born son of an Russian journalist and dissident, who came in contact with graffiti in 1989 and found his way to the French capital. But I have to say when I saw his latest project called “Sillons” (English furrows) first, I was impressed. These abstract urban lines he creates are so simple, but the effect is awesome!

Make sure to have a closer look at his brush-tool, I’m rather sure it’s a self-made thing…and when you visit his profile on Myspace, you’ll find some more videos…
