Streetfiles – Urban Art Photo Show

Half a year ago, about 1,000 photo of the international urban art photo community Streetfiles were shown as prints at the Graffest in Gdansk. Now, this wide collection of graffiti and street art photos is in Berlin!

Actually the name should be “0,6% Streetfiles” or something, because right now we have 186,000 photos. But we printed no new photos, so the name stays the same. Please mind that all photos are half year old and older. We made just a quick selection.

That means we surfed around, added photos we liked and as soon as we got the 1,000 together we stopped. Only photos under Creative Commons licence are published. Under each photo the address on Streetfiles.org (URL), the member name and the title are stated. The original uploaded sizes are used, this is why the quality varys a bit.
(Esher on Streetfiles)

Today I had some time a visited the nice exhibition. It’s a really interesting location – they use an old apartment above the Nest Restaurant in Kreuzberg as gallery!

There are photos of painted trains, paper artworks, big pieces and small ones, some live action shots, and a large number of other nice impressions of urban art culture.

By the way: The admins and developers behind Streetfiles need some money to pay the costs of operation…Here are 497 reasons to support them!

  1. thanks for add! nice photos of the photos…

  2. Wow that’s a great idea, it must have taken ages to put the whole urban art collection together. Well worth the trouble though, the best graffiti can disappear in days.
