L’Atlas – Giant Paste-Ups

Paper Art | French urban artist L’Atlas is a real globetrotter. In the last months, he visited not just New York, New Delhi and Moscow but also other big metropolises around the world and pushed on with a new urban photography project.

This new project culminated in a giant paste-up installation at the Alliance Francaise in New Delhi. The corresponding documentary in online since yesterday and is introduced by L’Atlas himself with the simple words: “I’m just visiting the planet”!

The installation itself reminded me – because of its scale and its style – of the fantastic paste-ups by famous photographer and art activist JR, who won the 2011 TED Prize, although L’Atlas doesn’t seem to have a political background idea…

Nevertheless, I like those giant paste-ups by L’Atlas, which just show another talent of one of my favorite urban artists!
