Inspired by Rembrandt’s Woman with a Lap Dog as well as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Woman with Ermine, this latest stencil artwork is named after the Victorian rat-catcher Jack Black who worked for Queen Victoria in the mid-nineteenth century. Furthermore, it is one of Fin’s submissions for the upcoming Urban In Ibiza 4 exhibition, opening on August 9th at Atzaro, Ibiza at which he is also going to paint live…
Some of us are now ‘sub-urban’ artists – we go beyond urban art into who knows what, pushing the accepted boundaries in our own way.
In my eyes, Fin did a great job during the last years and developed an attractive, unique visual language (he calls it Urban Aesthetics) using nothing more than single layer stencils and his creative skills. This recent stencil art series, with Blackjack as its latest part, illustrates this expertise very well!
