Video Game Art – Faile & Bast Exhibition

I already posted some impressions of the Faile and Bast collaboration exhibition by Ian Cox at Lazarides Gallery. Today I have some moving pictures from the show for you!

Babelgum visited the making of “Deluxx Fluxx Arcade 2010” and filmed Faile and Bast while their preparations. The huge count of posters pasted on the walls combined with black light and luminous colors looks phenomenal and also the special designed game machines are really phantastic! Please, give me one of those arcade games…

Faile are a Brooklyn-based collaborative duo and pioneers of the contemporary street art movement. Despite working together for over ten years, the camera-shy duo have rarely appeared on film before.

Long-time collaborator Bast is a fellow Brooklyn native, and an elusive character who has rarely been seen in public and whose very existence has been debated. The show is at Lazarides, Greek Street, until March 19 2010. (Babelgum)

By the way, I’m told it’s the first time Faile have ever agreed to be filmed…
