Cope2 – Graffiti in Berlin

A tag is not only the signature under an artwork, it’s the expression of a big part of the writers identity! Berlin based contemporary art gallery Skalitzers will present the first in a diverse series of shows exploring the role of tagging within the world of contemporary art.

From September 12th to October 3rd, famous writer and graffiti artist Cope2 will have his first solo-exhibition in Europe, named “Fine Lines”!

“One of New York’s most prolific writers, Cope2 has achieved international recognition over the past decade for his distinctive style. Born in the South Bronx he began writing in 1978. He developed his style in the subways and streets of the Bronx throughout the 1980s and 1990s, becoming a legend on the street both in New York and internationally.” (Skalitzers Gallery)
