Berlin East Side Gallery
Introduction
The Berlin East Side Gallery is being restored and repainted. This video clip documents the work with some beautiful pictures from around The Wall...
There were a lot of photos, videos and documentations about the Berlin Wall and its East Side Gallery, but I have rarely seen such beautiful pictures like this!
“The East Side Gallery is the longest preserved stretch of the former Berlin Wall. It is the largest open-air gallery in the world with 106 original mural paintings on 1.3 km-long created by artists from all over the world after the collapse of East Germany.
Today, it is being renovated for the Commemorations of the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Wall.” (Olivier Blaecke)
Large pieces of The Wall are large fenced and the restoration and repainting, including a sealing with a “graffiti protective layer” is in some parts already completed.
Some month ago, I took also some photos of the old Berlin Wall. So if you’re interested, have a look at my Flickr-photostream!
