Banksy, Myths & Legends

For some (like me) he is just a very popular street artist, for others he is a legend, worth to write down all the myths around him…

In his book Banksy: Myths and Legends, Marc Leverton collected stories about Banksy himself. Compiled between 2009 and 2011, some of these stories have been told so many times they have become the stuff of legend, while others are more questionable and can best be described as myths.

In his home town of Bristol, almost everyone seems to have a Banksy story. Many of the tales in this book are from Bristol, some are from further afield. What they share is that they are all told with the wide eyed wonder which Banksy inspires.

I don’t know whether Marc Leverton knows Banksy personally, I don’t know his sources and I don’t know what to think about this book. Anyway, I would read it if someone would give it to me. For those who want to buy it, Banksy: Myths and Legends is available on Amazon!
